I'm a complete noob to the SC and have only owned it for a few days. I think I might be having the same issue with the light smoke. Where is the ECU located? Is there a DIY thread on replacing?

It's in the passenger side foot well under the carpet and kick plate. I also had this problem and replacing the ecu fixed it.

Default Which ECU.?

Guys which ECU are you replacing...the main ECU or the Fuel ECU..?
I have replaced my main ECU and all worked for a couple of months, now I'm stalling at start up again, I'm thinking it's fuel ecu...thanks.

damn this is an old thread lol. I think everyone was discussing the replacement of the main ECU. It's typically around $100 dollars. The problem is that once someone has removed their old one, they simply sell it on ebay or something so a ton of bad ECU's have been floating around the market for sometime. The capicitors get blown out on these ECU's and need to be repaired or replaced. Obviously, the quickest option is to simply replace the ECU completely.
