Default Replacing Alternator 1jz (soarer)

Did some searching and didn't come up with much on this topic. I need to replace my alternator on my 1jz (soarer). Is there a difference due to the fact that it's the overseas version or will 2jz alternator from sc300 work. Also I was reading about connectors being different with supra alternators and then something about more amps with the manual or was it auto version?

i just used the factory sc300 alternator. my 94 plugged into the soarer (-94) with ease. i heard it puts more amps out, the usdm one, and i already bought it and hadf it under warranty, i just put it in. i also put a v-8 sc alternator pulley on, it was about 1/4 shorter.

Do you have to use the sc4 pulley?

Just use the older Sc300 alternator, you car is a 92 Sc so the alternator plug is part of the engine harness and you the alternator with the big round plug.
That's what i used on my 1JZ it worked fine with zero issue.

You just use the SC300 alternator pulley , i've never used the SC4 pulley not saying that the SC4 pulley won't but i see why you need to use it .

You don't need an SC4 belt, just the 2JZ belt works perfectly fine.
