Default So my car does not charge my battery...

Does that mean that it has to be the alternator? I guess it sounds like a case of the power steering leaking into the alternator. I knew it was leaking and did something about it too late... And my mechanic is in Cuba right now, therefore I may have to do this alone and I don't know hard it would be to repair the ps leak.

What kind of alternator should I get (assuming that it's the alternator)? What replacement alternators do you guys recommend?

I got mine for 140 from Lexus. I got a cheaper discount going to Lexus than I did at Toyota.

toyota sells rebuilt alternators, they do not rebuild them. i work at a parts house that sells to toyota. i just got one of the ones we sell, no problems, except when i used to have a distributor, the o ring leaked on it, causing it to fail
