Default Swapping my 99?

Ok first off i live in mass so they plug in for my obd2. Ive questioned just boosting the vvti engine, but i would much rather just swap an auto gte in there(not aristo) that i found a deal on. It would b less tuning and id like to keep it on the stock twins for a while. Anyone have experience with this??

Thanks

Ya basically i would want to avoid going to mr.tweak because its my DD, the most id take a week off from work and figure out the wiring (decent wiring skills). I know theres schematics out there.

My understanding is you will still need to redo the harness, thus Dr. Tweak, if you get an USDM 2jzgte. The reason is because the ecu and harness must be 'tweaked' to interact with the sc300.
If I'm not mistaken 99 and 00 sc300 maybe a better with the vvti 2jzgte (which is only available in Japan and must be imported to the States). Proably be best to shoot an email to Phoenix tuning to ask.

My 2 cents. Best of luck and keep us posted.

why would you avoid the vvti? If you are keeping it all stock (as a DD) and not mess around with high power goals, absolutely go with the vvti.

You can use an OBD-2 US Spec Supra computer.

What he said. USDM Supra TT ECU with Dr. Tweak harness for SC300 is the best route. Be forewarned, may be costly.
