How much oil for 2JZ-GE
Quick question guys: How much oil does my 94 SC300 2JZ-GE motor take? I just changed my oil and put 5 quarts of Mobil 1 5W-30 in it. But when I let the car run for a little while and shut it off to check the oil on the dipstick, it said that the oil level was in between half - 3/4 full. Does it take 5.5 quarts? Will that make it full if I add about another half quart? I can't find the answer anywhere online or in the owner's manual.
BTW, I don't have any oil leaks, I just got all of my front seals fixed the other day.

I put 5.5 in my GS and 6 qts in my SC when i realise the Turbo seals were blown.
I am glad i could you with that Pat,I haven't heard back from you i guess the car is running great and no more oil leak.

Put in 9 qts and check it.
Not really...
The difference between the low mark and the full mark on the dipstick is usually 1 qt. So if you're right in the middle, add ½ a qt.
Remember, its always easier to add than it is to remove fluids. Poor a little, check, poor a little, check. Remember, oil will take a few moments to reach the oil pan, after adding, give it 20 seconds before checking. Should hold about 5.8 qts.
