Default More problems...

So I hadn't driven the SC in a while, and today I decided I was going to replace the faulty transmission solenoids. However when I started it, the car had a very rough idle, and a bit of light smoke came up from both sides of the engine.
I've replaced one of the coils before, but this seems different there is no heavy fuel smell, but there is a very odd distinct smell coming from the engine.
Any ideas? It has the same issue if I try to rev the car.

edit: Started it up again.. no smoke this time, still the same idle.

Its going to be something with ignition IMO. I would check rotor caps and everything dealing with ignition. Start there anyways.

Thanks for the reply. I just changed the plugs and wires recently, and one of the ignition coils has been replaced. However, I didn't do the rotor caps.

I'm just hoping it's not a head gasket, I think I'm smelling coolant when I open the hood. However, it doesn't seem to be blowing a lot of smoke out of the tail pipes. There was just a little bit when I first started the engine after it hadn't ran in a while.
