Is 18 mpg good for a sc400?
I have a 94 sc400 with 157k on it, all maintanance has been done and im getting 18 mpg combined, is that good?
Yeah that's pretty much normal. I get exactly 20 on the highway and noticeably less for just city type driving.
That's the magic number. Sucks much.
lol..ya it does suck but thats what i get for getting a v8, i think i should trade in my sc for a geo metro convertible..lol
Still better than the 300 usually on the average.
so is 300 miles normal for a full tank?
yes thats about right. i BABIED mine for an entire week like not even passin 2.5k rpm and got 21 city, but my average was high 19's combined

Talking about an SC 300 or 300 miles to a tank? haha. My SC3 averages mid 20's hwy/city combined. Upper 20's on the hwy. VVT-I

I average 17.3-17.7 in my SC400. I bet with tune up it would reach into the 18s.
wat? 18! thats good, i have 97 400, 82k miles, i used to get 17 mpg city with aggressive driving. but now i only get 14mpg if i drive good, i think its because of the winter.
Hmm...I have '95 SC300 and I get about 21 mpg average when city and highway driving are combined...So that'll roughly translate to 18 mpg in the city and about 22 in the highway seperately...I can get about 390 miles before the reserve tank kicks in. Not bad huh?
my sc300 is giving me like 13mpg right now in the city. Im gonna blame it on the turbo.
Be happy. My LX450 gets about 11-12.
Right now, my trip computer says I average 21.3 MPG. Try pumping up your tires to 40+ psi. Ever since I started keeping mine at 45 psi, my highway MPG has jumped from 21 to about 25 MPG, plus the car feels much more agile and responsive. If I obeyed the speed limit, I'd probably average a couple more MPG.
