Does the 1UZ-FE have an idle speed adjustment screw?
I was wondering if the 1UZ-FE has a user-adjustable method (screw) to adjust the engine idle RPMs.
Thanks ...
Thanks ...

I don't think the TPS is what you would want to be messing around with. I say that because that is one of the most common problem on the MR2 boards and require the TPS to be in spec. I haven't had need to adjust the idle on my SC so I'm still trying to familiarize myself with the engine. Do more research.... I'll check the manual when I get a chance and reply back.

I replaced my TPS sensor b/c it went out last year (engine light went off), its really simple to replace and calibrate it. I've been driving around ever since. I think OLT wrote up a DIY on it.

inspect that real quick. When my car is completely warm [on a good weather day] and is idling, it sits 2 lines above the ZERO line.
if u look between the 2nd and 3rd line there is a bigger gap than normal.
I'm pretty sure thats where the car is supposed to idle, between that 3rd and 2nd line.

To calibrate your idle within spec, you need to get the car fully warmed up to normal operating temp, then you have to adjust the TPS turning it clockwise or counter-clockwise to either raise or lower the idle speed. according to the FSM you need to adjust it so that it idles at 700rpms + or - 50. The IACV controls the idle by the engine temp i believe, so the valve would open up when cold to have a higher idle, and would close up a little as the engine gets warmer. Those are the only 2 things i could think of right now that have control over the idle speed.

Disconnect the negative on the battery over night or the ecu fuse for 10mins.

I have posted about my idle issue numerous times. I have no idle at all. The car starts them immediately (I mean immediately) stalls. I have replaced the IACV and it will run fine for a few minutes but then the idle goes low. Turn the car off and then try to start it again ... and no idle again.
The dealership said IACv and possibly ECU. I was hoping that it could possibly be an idle setting. I have PMed Aliga about a possible replacement ECU and possibly repairing my current ECU ... but my ECU looks mint. The car only has 52K miles.

Lexdud: wow... I was about to post some pictures of the manual and it did was pointing on the IAC. How about your ISC? Anyway, here is the manual anyway and hope it can point you to another direction.
I'll take a screenshot of troubleshooting ISC valve.
