Default Need some help, my car keeps stalling

My car is having a wierd starting/idling problem. The car will start just fine for the first time of the day or when it is cold but when you go to start it when it is warm it will stall. For example I'll start the car when I get back into town and it'll start without a problem, then I run into the store real quick (5-10mins) come back out and it will stall 1-3x and I will have to give it some gas to keep it running. There is also a very rich smell coming after it finally does start and idle. Thanks for any input, I am trying to solve some of the few problems with the car in hope of selling it in the near future

Maybe your fuel pump ECU, which steps the voltage down from 12v to 9v. Does it stall at low speed or just at idle?

Having a similar problem. What year/make is the car?

Sounds like the IACV.

is the CEL on? I had the same issues before. It was a bad IAC valve.

Sorry for not replying, been busy working on the road. My car is a 1992 Sc400 and it only stalls at idle, I don't have a check engine light on, can anyone point me in the direction of swapping out the IACV or IAC, not sure if there is a difference in the part. I've heard the two terms and assumed they are the same part.
