Are the two cig lighter uses the same fuse?

Reason I ask is the one inside the compartment is working but the one outside under the radio receiver is not working.

The one under the center console works but not the one under the stereo,
checked the fuse, tried bending the pins as mentioned earlier,
checked in back and it was not plugged in!!!!!!!!!!

Plugged it in and still not working
checked the fuse again, is okay

any ideas?

If you could, can you post a pic of the two cig lighters. I've never seen it before on a SC.

Or you could have just removed the fabric washer from in between the brass connectors bypassing the fuselink wire.

^^ This is a last resort after testing everything else in the system but yes, this is also an option. It was Toyota's way of installing an extra overkill measure in the fused DC accessory system. You will still have all the conventional fuses in the circuit as well as the fuse in whatever accessory you are plugging into the DC/lighter port.

Papajorgio, I think that is what has happened to mine! What is the trick for you to get that wire released from both ends?...
Especially from the blue plug??

PDMichael, the way to do it is shown in the videos below. One video shows how for an under-hood connector and the only difference for interior connectors is that there is a lock-down section that has to be pried up slightly on the connector housing... otherwise the terminal ends for any Toyota connector are removed the same way (lifting up the tiny little individual terminal locking tab carefully without breaking or deforming it).

KahnBB6, thanks very much! I have removed clipped wires before like in the videos but I just cannot get them out of the blue clip connector coming from the cig lighter.
I'm better off trading to just find one from a salvage yard, or getting a new clip. Thanks again!
