Default any Ignition system DIY (sc300)?

i'm trying to change my cap, rotor, plugs, and wires. i know how to change spark plugs and even found great diys here if i run into a problem, but i've never done caps and rotors or the wires. are there any diys for this? i tried searching, but never found anything. thanks for any input.

Try lexls.com.

I too am going to do my cap,rotor, wires and spark plugs in the next week and that website will give you almost everything you'll need to know. I'm going with the Vitek wires but still haven't figured out what cap and rotor to use. Or does it really matter? Not sure, just don't want to put cheap crap on the car!!

Just saw that you have an SC300. That site is for the LS400 (SC400: 1uz-fe). It's been a long day........... I'm going to bed

If you know how to change the spark plugs on the sc300 then the wires, cap, and rotor should be no problem. To remove the wires, use the same steps as if you were to change your spark plugs. Leave the wire ends attached to the distributor cap side so you know can swap them onto the new cap without mixing them up. The cap can be removed by loosening the 3 phillips (8mm) screws. As for the rotor, it either slides off or is held on by a phillips screw. Install the rotor in the same position as it was.
