Default 1uz-fe throttle response.

Is there a way to help the throttle response on the 1uz-fe short of ITBs. I'm starting to prep my SC4 for drifting next year and it just seems the throttle is so sloppy compared to s-chassi cars. I know the sutomatic transmission has a lot to do with the power actually getting to the ground and most of that problem will be gone with the w58 swap but still this is probly the least throttle responsive car i have ever owned.

In previous cars i relied upon throttle response alot to control angle and such.
I remember hondas used to have different sized throttle bodies, butterflies, throttle body spacers and such as well as intake tubes.

I had custome made a single turbo diesel truck intake to fit my SC and that did help some but i want quick snappier response.
