question about big thorttle body on stock electronics

Default question about big thorttle body on stock electronics

quick question guys... im doing my na-t. here's a tease... "the turbo is to big so the stock intake manifold does not clear" =] so im going to get a ebay front face intake manifold and get it welded onto the the ge lower runers...can i use a 90mm or q45 or any throttle body other than the stock one? im useing stock electronics and safc untill i get everything in and running then latter on ill upgrade to a stand alone and bigger injecters... thanks!

Yes u can, a lot of people have done it, and your engine bay will look even cleaner.
Go on supraforums.com and you will find a lot of info on that. GL

it will be interesting to see stock ecu handle a foreign tps signal and lack of correct iacv valves and all the extra unmetered air


it works well in na-t form but with a ems standalone to make the changes to acc the above

OP this is what we're talking about. You're "turbo that hit's the intake mani" and aftermarket T/B all through the want to be piggyback known as the SAFC, just isn't gonna happen brotha. If by some miracle you're able to get it to idle at a decent RPM w/o seriously altering the idle screw and and extreme changes to idle settings in the SAFC, it's not gonna be very drivable IMHO.

i used q45 with a greddy TPS adapter so you can use your stock TPS. its about a 90mm

I just realise the Greddy TPS adapter is N/A.
So you will have to do what ED said EMS standalone.
