Default SC400 Power under 2800-3000

I have a 95 sc400 that seems to not have much power below 2800 or 3000 rpm. From launch, it really feels like the car has little power from the launch until I hit about 2800 or 3000 rpm? I remember seeing a thread about throttle bodies or something like that a while back but cant find the thread. Would this be related to the throttle body or is it just normal for sc400s? After I hit 2800 or 3000rpm, the car pulls hard and feel great.

The car is built that way for luxury.

Nothing to do with the throttle body

The torque converter locks up around those rpm's and at around 4000 - 5000rpm in 3rd its has a bit of a slip then locks up. A few soarer drag racing vids on youtube where you can hear this happening.

Stall the car to 2000 - 2500rpm with a standard converter should be fine.

remember 99% everything is computer controlled
