Default Alternator Plug ReWiring

My car is a 92 SC300. Auto

And the motor is a 1JZ Chaser...93.

The alternator requires an oval plug for sure, and the harness itself definently came from a Soarer... Im guessing the harness is from a 95 and up since it does not come with a alt plug.

Does anyone know if I can just use plug from the harness that came with the Chaser motor will work? It did have the required alt plug... But I have no idea how I would wire it up? All help with be appreciated.

I would just swap out the 1jz alternator and use the stock 2jzge one, the amps are about the same. That way you will not have any issues with wiring into the harness

Soarer/Chaser motors are the same, you should have no issues, as I used all my stock alternator plugs.

Who rewired your harness?
You should just use the 2JZ alt, since it's in the alternator wires comes with engine harness not like the 95 SC.
No cutting required just use the 2JZ.
when i swapped my engine from the 92 to 95 SC i didn't know that the alternator wire and connector were different .
So i found out my battery is not holding charge because is was using the alternator plug from 92 SC with 92 engine harness on 95SC ,i had to ignore the 92 alternator plug that comes with the engine harness and use the 95 alternator and harness that is in the engine bay. Problem solve because i didn't wanna do any cutting

If you post a picture of the plug it would be more helpful cause I had to mod my alternator yesterday with the harness. Usually the Toyota/lexus wiring is pretty close so it shouldn't be that hard to match up. Is it 3 wires on the back of it correct? IF it is the round connector I am thinking of you can get one off of a old Celica Supra.

Sorrie not the round one. I SHOULD have stated that I need the oval plug. NOT the round one.
I am literally just looking for the plug + at least 5-8 inches of the wiriing.

Thanks.
