Default TT Water Pump question...

Okay so I just recently installed my TT water pump on my 1JZ-GTE. The old pump is slightly different, and I was wondering what goes into this on the new pump or what I should do with it (cap it off?)

1. The 2jzgte water pump had this small nipple facing straight down, and the 1jz water pump did not. It freaked me out for a bit..I found a post on Toyomods(Aussie forum) explaining that the nipple will seep coolant if the pump seals go bad. ( from this thread My 1jzgte swap thread pic heavy! by ryanv)
