Default New sub O2 sensors: can't put in park now

I swapped out both Sub o2 sensors, trac and cel light are no longer on, but now it will not go into park, unless I use the override button. Any ideas where I should start?

not to jack your thread up but Ive had this problem for a while now, the brake switch that activates the safety to put it into reverse is not engaging, when its in park and i apply the brake it works fine, just going back into reverse is the problem, i thought it was the solenoid at the shifter itself but i recently installed the gated shifter and it does the same thing, i ended up forcing the override to stay down permanently but that's a bandaid and not a fix, very interested to see if this is a common problem?

The ONLY things I did were disconnect the battery before changing the sensors, and reconnect it after the new sensors were in. No problem when I pulled it into the garage.

Yes, I know that, but what could have caused it? All I did was swap the sensors.

check all other conections around the area you were working on. Clean the contacts of any other plug around that same area. GL

Checked all fuses. Brake lights all work. no loose connections. Then I took the entire center console around the shifter apart, found nothing wrong. tried to put in park without the shifter "plate" connected, WORKS. Put everthing back together, WORKS. So it is "fixed" just don't know how or why.
