Default JDM 2JZ-GTE VVTI swap

All the swaps I see have the US Spec head done on the SC. Do you guys know if anyone that has tried and successfully got the JDM VVTI to work in an SC300 including the speedometer and Tach?

I didnt say it would not work, i'm asking why wouldn't it work because I haven't sees swaps with VVTI put on a non VVTI US Spec vehicle. Most of the people there swap the heads to US Spec to get rid of the VVTI. I'm not sure what's involved or what I will be getting into if I go VVTI. That's why I made this post to see if it's worth the extra time and effort to go VVTI or to go USDM 2JZ-GTE.

My car is a 95 SC300. I want to make sure that I can still use the US Spec guages too.

Since your SC is a '95 it would be a better "fit" in terms of wiring to go with the non-vvti motor. Not saying you couldn't do it, just that the wiring is much closer between the 98+ SC300 which already has vvti.

If you can get the VVti for a good price, I would do it since your harness will have to be redone anyway.
I was thinking about doing that swap 2 months again.

What would you consider a good price?
