SC300 Clutch Problem r154 2jzgte help...
ever since i converted to manual tranny (r154) with lexus pedals and lexus master cylinder, and mk3 slave cylinder, my clutch has been acting weird. It kicks in too soon which means i can shift by just pushing the clutch in about 40% and also it feels really soft. I have put 900 miles on the car since the conversion, at first the clutch was harder like a race clutch would be, but over time it feels softer and softer. This weekend my friend bleed ed the clutch for me again, and it was soft again and i could slip it more but after a day or two it's back to being almost impossible to slip, also makes a squeaking noise from time to time which my friend says its cuz i didn't break it in correctly . So what is the rest of problems? anyone has had the same problems?
here is my set up again:
r154, extended shifter
lexus pedals/master cylinder
mk3 slave cylinder
mk3 clutch fork
spec 3 sprung clutch
steel 1jz flywheel

on my stock 5spd i never had to push the peddle down more than half way.
Its just how they are designed. even after i went to a 6 puck sprung disk with an extreme PP, its still less than half way down.
With any aftermarket clutch/PP setup with more grabbing power than stock, your zone of engagement should decrease, but be alot firmer.
As for the squeaking noise, I have that too. It comes and goes. It doesnt mean you didn't break it in properly. I find that with more revs before you start to slip it, the noise goes away and will slip properly.
remember in your turbo car you arent even making 1/2 of your torque off idle. so when you get a clutch that grabs to the number of 400hp, and you are trying to slip it at 2k rpms with under 200hp/torque, its gonna grab pretty hard and fast, then stumble.
Cliffs: Basically what I'm saying is try revving it up more and drive it like you just stole it.

Thanks for your respond but...it doesnt make sense if its normal, because it gets worst everytime to a point that im afraid my clutch is gonna get stuck to the floor next time that i push it in.

Seems as though the last couple issues people were having with this setup came from installing the clutch disc backwards.
You sure that's right?
The squeek could be the slave cylinder piston or that the slave rod is pushing the fork which pushes on the clutch hub/throwout bearing. Did you grease all that stuff/contacts points?
All that stuff isn't that big of a deal..its just noisy, and that parts would wear faster.

I have check everything, i cant find the problem yet,
-My main question is why the clutch is disengaging very late, it's almost when clutch pedal is all the way pushed out.
Anyone with r154 swap has this problem?
-also im using lexus(w58) master cylinder with r154(mk3) slave cylinder , and thats what its suppose to be correct?
