I would disconnect the battery(disconnect the negative terminal and let it sit for a few minutes-5 mins atleast) to clear the codes just to see if the check engine light will go away. Now if comes back imeditaley or a day later your going to have to diagnose into it deeper.
Now, my Mitchell OnDemand says its a faulty 02 sensor-or faulty ignition circuit. Those are just possibilties. Do you have a voltmeter? Do you know how to check the voltage on a 02 sensor?

If you're running lean then it might be that you have a bad 02 sensor...i remember that i had that problem with mine after switching to aftermarket headers which did not have the catalytic converters.

okay so i picked up 2 o2 sensors.. for before the cats.. autozone gave me one wrong one and i noticed after i jacked the car up so i figured ill change one for now.. my dumb@ss didnt realise and just changed it with the o2 sensor after the cats.. now are the sensors different from before and after the cats? or can i leave that one in there and just pick up another for before the cats when i exchange the bad one?
if not is it safe to drive like that?
