Hell yeah, If I planned for the worst in the beginning I would have been done a long time ago. Then going on anniversary/vacation took a solid chunk out too.

This whole FREE day for me to work is blown. Neighbors probably think I am nuts ever car that I hear I stick my head outside thinking its UPS. I have to break in the clutch fast, so I can teach My wife how to drive stick, In case anything happens to my jeep she can drive the damn thing rather than last deployment, just started my old car every week or so. Also so she can drop it off at the audio shop to get some decent sounds IN the car. Getting one of those slim subs and custom box in the rear deck. Not insane power but good sounds.

EDIT-Now I am crazy..picked wife up for lunch, saw a UPS truck and pulled in behind him asked if he had my stuff, answer NO but I will give you the number for the guy on that route.SCORE. Called him up and met him 20 minutes away done some badass crazy roads I didn't know existed. Signed for it in some random subdivision and got my ****.

Next is the new OEM one doesn't have the lil studs in it to hold the Pressure plate still. Knocked the ring gear off of it and used a punch to knock them out, hammered them into the new one. woohoo.

Now I have the motor 95% into the car and the shop has to close. Damn. So two jacks and a crappy engine lift are holding the motor half an inch away from being in. Was fighting it for twenty minutes, and had to stop.

Whole reason I posted all that and I forgot it.

When you guys installled your GTE's did you connect the heater hose as you were lowering the motor in or after? I figure its going to be a *****. I think thats part of why its not going in smooth.

Be honest with you I took a loan for 3k and I am not done with that money yet. Took a loan so when I need something just get rather than wait on payday. I reused my w-58 so I spent a few hundred on clutch and a new flywheel when I should have had my old one resurfaced. I am paying for my shop use every few days and it is somewhat drivable right now. so I am pulling it out of there on monday(closed sundays.) And doing minor stuff at the house.

So this is whats going on now. It cuts out when throttle over 1/4 throttle is open. Read some places that its probably the connectors on the coils or my plugs. Still need to read the other threads, Onejays,CCC-TT, RyanV,Biggu's and if you guys know any others that I haven't found let me know.

Questions--What plugs do you 1JZ-GTE guys use? And what Gap?
More to come later.

Tried running new plugs this morning gapped to .028, same issue not wanting to go anywhere above 2000 rpm.

ANYONE HAVE IDEA'S OF WHAT IT COULD BE?????????????

The whole engine cuts at the same time and immediately back to idling just fine.

Plugs changed same thing is happening.
I guess next is
-igniter
-ecu??
-coils
-I dunno what goes here but its probably my problem.

I know on the 95's, you have to cut one body plug wire, but I don't think a 93 would have that issue.

When it cut out while running the first time I clipped that black wire and nothing changed. SOL on that one.

I think I have read igniter fitting with these symptoms.

EDIT: Nope, sorry. The one I was thinking of ended up being coil wiring. RyanVs swap thread was the one I was thinking of.
