Default Shifter Problem

Searched.. No answers.

Auto 1JZ into an 92 SC300.

The transmission control rod does not reach the shift lever. I pulled the control rod as far as it can go and with the shift lever in park it still does not reach. If I put the shift lever in reverse it does fit. Help.

If your 1JZ was origionally a front sump you will need to take the one off of your 2JZ and put it on the 1JZ. The front sump rod is a little shorter than the 2JZ.
