Default So Stuck!!

Cant remove the stock downpipe. Retarded *** nut will not come out. Its time to remove the stud that is there and replace it. Options, comments, concerns, all are welcome.

Need help ASAP, im swapping the motor in a couple days.

Also I thought removing the stock y pipe. But the snag I ran into is that once I removed the nuts the studs there were making it impossible to remove. How did people removed it? Ive heard of options in removing the twins....But trying to do less work as possible.

Try some PB blaster. Give it a gooood soak. Spray it on, let it sit, spray it on, let it sit. If you have room to bang it a couple times that can help also. It isn't uncommon to torch it or just hack it off either. FYI, if you don't ever want that problem again, make sure to use antiseeze when reinstalling anything exhaust side.

Good point on the antiseeze, ever since my 2 day ordeal with exhaust flange antiseeze goes on EVERYTHING lol.

I tried everything with mine and nothing worked, so I took out the torch and was done with minutes

I would either get a vice and clamp the hell out of it or I would just grab a cut wheel for the dremel and cut it off.

ViceGrip is what I first resort too. But it literally kept wear it down more and more.

If I do use a dremel to cut it off, how do I remove the stud?

try pb blaster first. spray it on the stud as well. if that doesn't work, cut it off then drill out the stud (use a reverse bit as it may just unscrew itself while u drill it).

What I would do is heat up really good with a torch then try the vice grips, if that does not work cut it off.

I when you cut the nuts off the pieces should separate and then you can grab the bolt and unscrew it in most cases
