I have the cluster installed and everything works except the ac compressor and the fuel gauge. Does anyone know what wires tell you the fuel amount. I think it is a blue clip on the pass side. I will post pics when work is complete.

true sonds like a kool *** mod when you get the little detail fixed. Post pics and if possible a little vid to see it working. Also did you get the little conversion to make the speed read in mph or is it still in kph ? Sorry i dont have any info on your prob though.

You wont be able to get the fuel gauge to work unless you get the soarer fuel gauge sender unit. The USDM uses the float-type like most cars. The jdm one uses this 3 long tubes part. I got one for my car but I still need to get it wired. And you will need longer screws for it.

The speedo doesnt read over 180kph. I converted mine to read 180mph and disables speed cut.

Search on ebay "TOYOTA SPEEDO CONVERTER / DELIMTER / KMH TO MPH"

I soldered the tiny chip into the gauge cluster harness and it works perfect. People have been using it in the UK and australia for years and it works fine as long as you properly solder it.

As for the ac compressor not working, I have no clue. Could be unrelated. Maybe forgot to plug something back. Or check for blown fuses such as your cigarette lighter fuse.

Can't say I knew there was a different fuel reader... Hopefully something easy can be worked out. Pics! Vids!
You are breaking new ground so that's pretty damn cool no matter what!

When you look at the cluster from a certain angle I am pretty sure I saw that it is possible to light up Mph instead of Kph, but I might be mistaken there... Nonetheless, glad it's "almost complete." Wonder what is up with the A/C not working?

UZZ i know you sold him the cluster and dash wiring harness whats the difference between the soarer dash harness and the SC dash harness ??? would it be possible to make this work with the SC harness or are the plugs different ??

I didn't installed the cluster. My car was converted to RHD with all the parts from the soarer so everything was pretty much done. I did install the chip to do the speed cut/kph to mph conversion though. It was very easy. Just 4 wires need to be spliced. It comes with instructions on a website. But if you need help, let me know.


I'll make a video of it as well. I think ucfa4 has an automatic gauge cluster. I have a 5speed cluster.
