I live in Cali where the cops like to check your engine for anything shiny... Everytime I see a sweet SC swap I just wish I could have a 1JZ dropped in my ride.
I was curious how much horsepower you have with your current set up as well as how the fuel mileage is. I've heard of some great fuel mileage from the 1JZ's and i'd like to see what you have experienced.

Thanks man, much appreciated!
Havent gotten a chance to Dyno it yet but I have gotten a chance to open it up on a audi 2.7TT with about 380hp and a porsche 4s with about 345hp and I was able to get both of them off the line up to about 60-65mph before they started pulling.
So far my fuel mileage is roughly the same as my stock sc300 but I have been constantly getting on it so i have to check it out when i start driving it like a normal car again.
I will let u know when i get it dyno'd and what my mpg are looking like
Hey Gary, got your PM and then read your thread. On the traction control issue, what we've found is that cars with both traction control AND ABS you have that problem (because the traction control on the JDM engine is different and won't work), but the cars with ABS only are fine. I would recommend trying to swap over to an ABS-only ABS ECU, but I don't know if anyone has actually tried that yet.
I'm glad the harness worked out well for you! Did that MSD tach adapter end up working? People seem to be reporting mixed results with them.
Yeah I actually just got the ABS only unit and will try to install over the weekend and see if that solves the problem. I will let everyone know if this actually solves the problem.
The harness works great, absolutely no problems at all, everything runs like it was stock right down to my cold A/C. The MSD tach adapter worked just like you said after we spoke about switching the two wires around.
I know when I do another swap guess who is getting the harness sent their way!!!!
Oh on a side note the MPG for the 1jz swap is 19mpg city driving, which is the same as i was getting before the swap and I havent been cruising around like i used to( gotta feel the power for a little while!!)
Since I have recently torn my achillies tendon and cant work on my car or drive or even walk for that matter I have had some free time so i decided to update you guys on where my car stands today. Enjoy the pics!!!! Pics are with my camera phone by the way.
