Budget Turbo kit for a 2jzgte

hey guys. anyone has any good experiences with ebay manifolds,...i wanna convert my 2jzgte into single but really on a tight budget..i see the boostlogic kits goes for 4,000..geez..i wanna piece my kit together and wanna start off with a good manifold..any idea whats a good manifold for a t67 turbo because my car is auto and i wanna stick to a t67..i heard many stories of ebay manifold cracking or breaking..i heard bad stories of driftmotion kits...

You get what you pay for.

just get an ebay manifold and get everything else brand name and used, the manifolds are perfectly fine. You can probably get away with the downpipe/intake pipe as well.

There's a difference between ebay manifolds and XS Power manifolds...

DRFT103 Jun 5, 2009 11:42 AM

so which is better? I'm trying to piece together a kit as well.

I was thinking about getting the ebay manifold that comes with the down pipe and dump tubes and everything for $250 and using everything else brand name.

Does XS power have a kit like that for the price?

tonysc400 Jun 5, 2009 11:47 AM

yea what is the difference with the XS power and ebay ones..and which ebay name brand is the one to go with?obx?

tonysc400 Jun 5, 2009 11:47 AM

LEXUSFTW..mind me asking if your running a ebay manifold and pushing 700hp+?

turbodremz Jun 5, 2009 12:03 PM

get an XS Power manifold, and source everything else. If you look hard enough and take your time, you can find 90% of everything you need with a majority of parts being new and spend less than $2k..I've only spent a TOTAL of $1322 getting my kit put together with the "vital" pieces being new i.e.- turbo/manifold/wategate/DP..everything else was used, but in great condition.

Just search around, you will find everything you need

sure is..and there are a couple for sale on clubna-t, and a few turbo's as well.:D

my ebay manifold looks "IDENTICAL" to the xs power, braced, design, everything besides the xs power plate welded onto the runner.

I am skeptical about the ebay manifolds too. On one of my cars I went thru 5 different manifolds while trying to save money. Manifolds and Turbos have a lot of stress put on them. You get what you pay for. imo

anyone here has a ebay manifold pushing good numbers? if so what brand? is obx good? i see manifold from ranges from 1500-2400..this is just a manifold...which ebay manifold has a good rep and can handle 500-600 hp? without cracking?

Just go with an XS Power or a DaveH manifold..both have been proven and used across several builds..if your going to do it, do it once and do it right

xspower manifolds are like less than $200 shipped direct from Mark on Na-t forums, they don't fail like the 4-cylinder ones because of the extra runners.
