Aristo swapped Sc300 with speed cut@100 mph....
Car is a Sc300 with an aristo GTE with jdm auto tranny.Car has the following mods:
TT Fuel pump
Full hardpipes and front mount,greddy bov
Greddy BCC
Full exhaust,intake and holds 15 lbs on jdm twins.
Car will not trap or go over 100 mph.My GPS and dragstrip timeslips tell me so.I have searched and came across two options.A HKS SLD 2 or a Mines or other jdm modified ecu.Which is better and more cost effective/easier to find?Thanks for the help car is driven maybe 500 miles a month so a racegas tune(which i read some modded ecu's are designed for) wouldnt be a problem.

you can also cut the speed input signal to the ECU, and hook a switch up to it, thats what i did. just turn the switch off when you need to go over 100mph. its a pink wire. i can get more information if u want to do it

it sucks that theres a speed cut on that motor.. the ge motor i never went all the way but i got it going at 135mph. but my gte swap is about 100..be kinda nice to see the speedo when ur going really fast.

update on a old thread I'm stuck on this and i tried the hks sld type 2 but to no avail it didn't work for crap it would shift gears and all but as soon as it hit 100 it just threw up a cel and stopped so does this switch thing work or not?

yes i have its wired up properly the car drives perfect just when it hits 100 its straight up cut i wired up the hks sld and it still hit cut but when the sld was wired in it cut as well. so i took it out. with the sld off no check engine light no nothing just at 100 it cuts me off....

I used a HKS T6 i got imported from japan that took almost two months to get.It works great and is designed for the early aristo swaps which is what i have.For the hassle i recommend just converting to a usdm ecu with a map ecu piggyback.Easier and maybe $100 more if you shop wisely.
