Default Fuel system advice... 42r 1000cc a1000 etc.

Hey guys, just to let you know some car specs before i ask some questions..

car: 96 lexus sc300
engine: 94 us 2jz-gte with arp head studs and titan headgasket, stock rebuilt bottom end and fidanza 5 bolt cam gears with stock head.
turbo: gt4294r 1.01 t4 w/ hks 60mm wastegate
exhaust: 4" all the way
management: AEM stanalone gm 3 bar map aem wideband
intercooler: 26x12x3.5 w/ 3" piping tial 50mm bov
intake: 5" aem dry flow with stock intake manifold
trans: r154 5 speed with trd clutch

currently i am running the stock 550/540cc supra sidefeed injectors @ wastegate pressure (13psi) and the car puts down 400whp and 375 wtq. and now its time to put my big components to work.

i bought a set of precision 1000cc injectors off of SF like a month ago now i just need to order everything else.

**any advice would be greatly appreciated**

OK i cant decide if i should keep the stock fuel tank and fab up a dual supra or walboro pump hanger or if i should run a fuel cell with an A1000 pump. thats my first question.

either way i want to run a -10 line from the tank to a fuel block Y that goes to 2 -6 lines that feed either side of the rail. then have an aeromotive FPR and a -6 return line. does that sounds good or is -10 overkill?

next i cant decide which rail to use. it probably doesn't matter as long as its not a cheap eBay rail but id like some opinions if someone recommends a rail that they really like.

also would anyone suggest picking up an hks dli?

and as far as power goals... lets just throw 700 out there. also i posted this on supraforums.com a couple days ago and haven't had any responses yet. thanks for the help guys!

I currently have an A1000 on one of my cars, and no matter how large the sump, kind of baffleing, or fuel foam you put in it, you seem to always get tank slosh and pump cavitation. especailly below a half of a tank.

what I have noticed as well is after a hard pull or 1/4 mile pass and im on the brakes hard, the motor would sometimes stall if i didnt keep it gassed up a bit as i was losing fuel volume.

If you plan on using racegas I think the dual walbros, or maybe 2 bosch 044 pumps would be great. I will be modding my sc tank for some kind of fuel setup shortly as I will be using an S372 and bosch 1000s on my car.

ok so the a1000 is out. someone on the supra forums said it wouldnt keep up with a 42r. so maybe i could run a single 044 intank since they can supply up to like 7 bar of fuel and maybe run another one inline. or maybe i could figure out away to get both 044's in tank. although id like to run a fuel cell to save on some weight. what do you think?

thanks for the help

The A1000 will keep up with a 42R, just really depends on which one and what motor its used on and how the VE of the motors comes into play. Also depends on what 42R it is as there are many and many variants from companies.

Mine kept up with my S372 and made a tad over 850, but to be honest. Voltage, and heat are what kills the ecternal pumps, I have seen pump controllers do wonders for them that adjust volatge according to the pump via rpm. also since they are not submerged in fuel they tend to run a bit warm and not as strong as when they are first "cranked up"

I would love to get 2 044s in the tank, I have a single walbro now and am sure I can some how get it to work, even if I have to cut an access panel to help get things in and weld it shut when im done or make some type of panel and bolt it back shut.

ideally a surge tank would be the best idea

also look into the bosch 1000s they flow about 1218cc and are a badass injector, very precise when tuned, they react to voltage changes, pulse width changes and are just an all around sick injector. they made my 1600s look like complete crap, and the 1000s were much more stable to tune. the battery offset was very easy to work with them as well which is something alot of us are now just beginning to look at
