Default tps and circuit

My '95 sc300 with traction been misfiring lately. If I step on the gas from stop then it will buckle a bit until 2000 rpm then it's fine. At idle, you can hear it go 'put, put' and you feel it inside the cabin. If I go WOT then it will hesistate a little then kick in at around 2-2.5K rpm. I do have yolk and u joint that i need to replace, don't know if that has a lot to do with it. A mechanic pulled a code 41 which he said was "tps and/or circuit." I'm not mechanically inclined so if I could get some assistance in where to start looking and diagnositc techniques would be great.

thanks for your assistance, Brandon

If there are any cuts in the wires going to the TPS which is on the throttle body you need to repair that wire. Most of the time it is usually the sensor that goes out. Kinda pricey ,but you can score one from here pretty cheap used. Ask Aliga he has parts from numerous cars.

Thanks dude...i've checked the wires that are visible and i don't see any cracks but I'll double check. A little weary about changin the tps sensors because I believe I have 3? because I have traction control.

You should have 2. Traction throttle plate/sensor first then TPS throttle plate/sensor.
