Sorry to bring this from the dead...but I have a 97 ls400 and I found a used tranny from a sc400 for sale.. I asked him to get me the tranny code. My question is... if the tranny on the sc400 IS the A341E.... is it the exact same tranny that can go into my 97 ls400? I've searched and a lot of confusing info so I just need some reassurance. Thanks everyone.

Apparently A340E and A341E are interchangeable so it will work. The guy stated that even all the connectors are the same. Do both trannys say 30-40le?

Thanks a lot for all the uh hmmm help.... (sound of one hand clapping)
Thanks for the experiential information! I've never owned any of it but might get into it in the near future. So, I'm regret that I couldn't assist you in your task.
