Tail light warning still ON even after replacing the bulb(97 SC300)

The tail light warning was on so I replaced the bulb. It was the bulb that lights up when the gear is shifted to PARK position. New bulb works fine but the warning light is still on. I check all the bulbs including the brake lights and all seem to be working fine.

Are you positive it was the correct size bulb you put back in?

it happend to me once make sure the light work right if they are it could just be a lose connection in the clip from the wiring to the light... wait do you have the light that goes in the middle speaker grile ???

when my wing didn't light up there wasn't a warning light. May be different on newer models

Mine has this too. The Toyota tech said it was because I used an autozone bulb instead of an OEM toyota bulb. The ECU can tell the difference in the resistance...

mines did the same thing when i installed some autozone led bulbs but when i switched it back to the stock bulbs the light went away..i guess it's b/c of different watts output?

If it is not on when you start the car then what triggers it??? if it comes on when you put your foot on the brake to shift out of park then its a brake light, check the center bulb(in the rear deck near sub). If it comes on with the lights then its a tail light bulb.

It does have a spoiler and the spoiler light isn't working! I'll change the bulb and see what happens tomorrow.
