Default 1jz swap question

i have a sc300 5spd and i found a 1jz long block for 400, the owner said it is in good shape, the turbos and evrything is connected, im assuming i will just need the wiring harness and ecu, and all other litle things of course, just looking for some opinions thanks

You'll have no startup warranty. I'd say buy a complete 1JZ motorset so you have the igniter,ecu,map,harness(uncut), and auto trans you can sell.

Plan ahead, and get your motor out of your car before you buy the motor so you can fully utilize the 30 day startup warranty.

The W58 will only hold the lower limits of 1JZ power potential.

Go from there.

i was considering buying it because i have the money for it but not for everything else, i guess i could slowly piece together everything, but i dont know if doing that will be more cost effective than just buying everything together, i am going to try to talk him down to 300, judging the motor is in good shape, i will pull the valve covers fursure before i buy it and i will try to do a compression test if it has a starter

Buying a complete set is a better way. Searching for spare parts is a pain.
