^^^Probably so he can run a front facing intake manifold and the 1jz spark plug cover so it looks nicer.

I've seen a guy run the 2jz-gte valve covers and spark plug cover on his N/A. Not sure about the 1jz though.

Bingo! Yeah I know that it's possible with the 2jz-gte... I might just have to pull the trigger and try it out and this way everyone else will know too.

i dont think the 1jz valve covers will fit due becauseof the indentation for the intake manifold. what onejay said makes sense and use a front facing intake manifold, i want to do that to mine but i dont wanna shell out 600 bucks for a manifold. I'd rather just find a 1jz head.

I was thinking of doing that too.. But the more I looked into it, the more I found out that the cost of going single on a 1jz head with stock intake manifold the cost were about the same as keeping my 2jz-ge, w/ bigger intake manifold and turbo. Also rumor has it that the GE head flows better then the either gte. Plus it doesn't hurt that I have a second ge head.

So to clear things up, because I was wondering this too, can you put a 2jz-gte intake manifold directly onto a ge head, that way changing the spark plugs is easier haha, and the engine bay just looks cleaner.

You could just weld the lower GE runners to the upper GTE runners/manifold and call it a day.
