Question Power unlock works, but not power lock

Just like the title says, both my power unlock buttons will unlock both doors, but neither of the lock buttons do anything. Also, turning the key in the door to lock twice does nothing, while turning it twice to unlock unlocks both doors. The car is a '93 SC4 btw. Anyone have any ideas?

i remember on my old camry my unlock stopped working. Turned out the unlock wire in the door jam was cut (cuz of old age) I got a propane torch and used it to solder a speaker cable onto the wire. Then cut the wire down to size and soldered the other end to the broken cable. But i am fairly certain my key locked and unlocked the car, so i am not sure if this is your problem.

Yeah, the switches or key does nothing to lock either of the doors. Both door switches and the key unlock both doors just fine though, so its not like just one door has a bad wire or switch.

Mines does the same. It started happening after the alarm was set off. It's possible that it could be the caused by the factory security system.

Hmm, I guess that that is a possibility... though, would the alarm still have effects like this without any others? It's definitely not killing the ignition or anything else...
