Default Exhaust spec Questions

Hey guys, currently on my sc300 i have a 3inch flanged cat-back exhaust coming to an hks hi-power tip and the one thing i dont like about it is the look, i dont really think a lexus should have a fat single tip but thats just an opinion thing.

I would like to take off the tip and change it to dual tips such as the tanabe exhaust or the megan racing i like the oem-ish look of them.

But my big question is would i be able to keep my 3 inch piping and go with the dual exhaust?? cause im sure the tanabe/megan exhaust are smaller than 3 inches so would it be a problem going from 3 inches to a smaller exhaust size?

I believe you can modify the mufflers when getting the pipe welded on to fit on the 3 inch...I would go with Tanabe

You can just get something custom made from the flange, and get a reducer to the 2.5" flange. Or just get some universal magnaflows or something cheaper than the 600 dollar Tanabe setup and get a full custom catback.
RedPhoenix had a pretty sick setup before. He sold it to someone but I forget who, but it looked real clean.
