okay i changed my oil a couple of days ago and when the car gets up to normal operating temp the oil light turns on. i pulled over and checked the oil and its at the F mark..i totally forgot to change the filter though(in a time crunch and i used the same oil as last time) is this why the lights on?

are u sure you refilled it with the correct amount of oil? (5.0-5.5qts) The oil filter shouldn't make the light go on. You either don't have enough oil or something is reducing oil pressure making the light come on.

sounds like low oil pressure when warmed up. the oil thins up as it gets hotter then you dont have enough oil pressure. sorry to say your gonna have to pull the oil pan and inspect the oil pickup. and most likley replace the oil pump

oh ****..i don't think i put enough oil in..that would explain why huh? damn..its a good thing i didn't drive it hard..its about 13 degrees outside..well damn!
