Default NA-T O2 sensor question

Quick question... on the '97 SC300 there are two O2 sensors on the OEM exhaust headers but most turbo downpipes have only one bung for a sensor. Can the wires from the harness be spliced together and connected to one sensor on the downpipe or will that confuse the ECU?

why don't you take it to an exhuast shop and add another "bung" for the second O2?

You can't splice the two wires together. I always weld in an extra bung. They should be as close to the turbo as possible as the EGT's will be pretty cool already after going through the turbo.
