Default yellow box in pass fender well

its a yellow box underneath the fender has the two wires that plug into it. what is it for? im wondering cause my car messed up bad last night and i realized i ripped the plug out from being to low. my wire harness is fine tho. but ya all my lights started flashing off and on and it would only start if i jumped it.

also i would not shift out of park unless i hit the override button. once it dove it misfired real bad and would hardly move. sounds like alternator but i just replaced it

that is your airbag impact sensor. it has a yellow harness going to it?

you have one more on the other side too. is your check engine or air bag lights on?

it has nothing to do with your alternator or anything mechanical or engine. i unplugged mine when i lowered my car and rerouted the harness. i have a quicj-release and a nardi steering wheel so airbag wouldnt work anyways
