Default MKIV Supra Twin Turbos

I have only seen single turbos installed in SC300s.

Isnt it possible and cheaper to use a set of supra twin turbos?
Make them run non sequential if its too confusing to keep the factory sequential setup. Ive read that you need to change out the stock heads to the supra type as well. Is this because the exhaust manifold doesnt bolt up? cant it be machined or welded and modified to bolt up?

Seems like this with a supra intercooler would be a really cheap way to turbo the car instead of buying a 4k kit at the cheapest.

Any problems with this or anyone succeeded in doing it?

Thanks

You are correct that the manifold bolts do not line up, but there is a lot more to it than just slapping on some turbos. The easiest method would be to just swap a GTE motor in. I did my 1jz swap for about 3k with all the extra parts I needed and everything. If you really didn't want to swap out the engine, you could, in fact, swap the heads, but you would need to drill the oil pan, swap engine harnesses to use the GTE ecu, source all the misc parts you would need (ECU, ignitor, etc) and it would be a lot more work than a simple engine swap.

where can one of these 1jz engines be sourced. Is it really that easy to drop it in and go?
What car is it from in Japan?

Im just trying to think of a cheap way to turbo the car but it seems like there is no way around spending at least 3-4k

Also, try using the search button too! Hell, you can type in your question in google and find way more information then you'd know what to do with.
