Question Transmission Problem - Fix or Sell

I have a bit of a dilema. I have a 97 SC400 with 115k miles in good shape (body & interior). I've been hearing a grinding noise when in reverse while backing down a hill. Thought it might be the brakes but just found out its the transmission starting to go bad. I can't decide whether to sell or spend the money to fix. Dealer says approx $4500 for a new transmission. Transmission shop indicated a re-manufactured transmission (with a 18mo/18000 mile warranty) would be about $3300 installed or a used transmission (with 77K miles) would be approx. $2100 installed (with a 6 month warranty). Any suggestions???
