Hi guys I just purchased a sc300 and found this hose at the bottom. It was leaking some kind of liquid but not sure what it was. Had no odor but very slimy any ideas if its suppose to be there or where is it suppose to go? It was connect to the bottom case that holds my battery up. Help is greatly appreciated

That ones probably the one for the coolant. There should be a white plastic **** above it. Make sure its all the way tight.

no wonder why I am losing a lot of coolant? Because I recently refilled my reservoir bottle twice but keep getting empty. But the liquid doesnt seems to be coolant or smell like it. And where is the plastic **** cause the hose just end at the bottom of battery case.

I'm pretty darn sure that's the battery tray hose. How would I know? I just put mine through that hole the other day....

battery tray does have a drain for any water / electrolyte that escapes from the battery cells. but from the picture that looks like the tube extension for the radiator drain petcock. been a while since i have seen an sc.. so i could be wrong.

looking at the picture again that hole in front of the hose looks like the radiator drain.. i will lean back to battery tray

The hose is from the bottom of the Battery tray. But there is so much liquid that dumps out of this hose. Like i would like a puddle of this liquid in my driveway. Not too sure if this is normal or not.

remove it, clean it and the hole out.. look at the bottom of the battery and terminals for any cracks or leaks from seams in the plastic.

are u sure its comin out of the hose or is it coming out of the hole the hose is sticking out of? the hose is a drain tube from the battery tray and there definitely should not be that much fluid coming out of it. u may be leaking coolant into ur under-engine cover and its coming out of that hole so it looks like its coming from the hose.

Regardless of what the fluid is, if you're leaking that much coolant, check your radiator plug (bottom of radiator on driver side). if thats tight check water pump and hoses for leakage and radiator for punctures.

Default Mystery Drain Tube?

ksort86, Conduct a test, by pooring a small amount of water in the battery tray and see where the water goes or drains.
