Please save your self some heartache and put your starter to use. put your socket on a torque bar<you can extend it with a cheater bar too> then stabilize your combo on the battery side. disconnect your efi fuse then blip your starter, just blip it, that's all it take to spin that f'ing bolt. did it many times..let me know if you have any other questions

Of course, in these times when every one blames everybody but himself i have to say <USE AT YOUR OWN RISK>

You can also just disconnect the ignitor instead of pulling the efi fuse.

have somebody sit in the car, put car in 5th gear and hit the brakes

then use giant breaker bar on the 22mm bolt

then you need a steering wheel or harmonic dampner pulley to remove it.

when you remove it, you will see the woodruf key pressed into a slot in the crankshaft. those should be replaced if they look worn, bad/worn woodruf key is stepping into miata short nose crank or rb26 issues. bad. replace if worn, they are $2 dealer

should've loosen the bolt first before you took everything else apart, it'll make everything easier..what i did was this, used a big torque wrench w/ the correct socket size and lean it on the ground, unplug the coil ignition and then go inside and crank the car, it should automatically loosen the bolt...this is for an SC300 of couse...

only one solution: buy longer wrench, or steal neighbors fencepost to put over your wrench.
