Question Intake Manifold w/ 2 fuel rails?

The lower bar represents the oem fuel rail and injectors for gasoline and the upper one near the plenum is another fuel rail + 6 injectors dedicated for methanol.

Has anyone tried or heard of using two fuel rails on the intake runners before? I had something like this in mind:

Seems like a good idea, but I think it would be pretty expensive, no? Nice cat btw. Looks just like my gf's.

having 2 fuel rails or two sets of staged injectors is nothing new in high performance street cars and definitely nothing new on race engines. do it. if you know how to weld this will be cake.

I don't remember which guy it is, but there's someone in the Drag Racing section over on SF that had a dual-rail manifold sitting in one of his pictures, and someone mentioned it and he talked about it some. His were on either side of the runners though I think.

Gunnar, are you referring to Dave Henry's intake manifold with the 6 injector housings welded to the underside of the runners?

I know that RMR already makes one for the GTE motors. Not sure if that's what you're looking for though.

There's no reason for all of that unless you need the extra injectors for something really major. Think about everything else that will have to be done with the fuel tank/hoses/fittings/tuning 2 maps etc. Having the OEM setup for fuel mileage then another for high boost and more aggressive timing is going to require alot of time and clutter to get it working properly. If you want OEM gas mileage and reliability, buy a 4 door Camry and drive the Lex on the weekend. K-I-S-S is your best friend.

Lexforlife, you can always reach me at JackyPerformance@Yahoo.com as well. I can sell the complete turbo, but not the wastegate (4-bolt flange). The turbo comes with a .63 a/r exhaust housing with a 2000 degree TurboX black ceramic coating.
