The white smoke could be power steering fluid from the idle up valve or leaking valve stem seals but it sounds like you have a plug not getting any fire get a spark plug tester and hook an old plug to it and ground it and make sure you are getting fire to each of the spark plugs. It could be as simple as a bad spark plug wire which would also explain it running badly. That is a good place to start.

Yea I would check the plugs. One might not be firing causing that cylinder to flood with fuel.

white smoke = blown head gasket? rich due to blown head gasket? hesitation due to lost of power due to blown head gasket? Hold RPM @ 1500 then snap the throttle, more white smoke? blown head gasket. Check for oil in radiator, and coolant in oil. Blown head gasket.

hey man, any updates? my v8 is doing the same thing now, and i know it's fuel causing the white smoke in mine because some (MOST!)cylinders are not firing, just running on two cylinders, so fuel is dumped to the cat and burns there burning the cat. the cat light also comes on after a while when it heats up. i hope my ECU is not fried.

My sc300 has white smoke out of the exhaust as well. Not a ton but noticible. On my other car i had this same problem and it turned out to be a bad fuel pressure regulator.

On a side note i saw a brand new is350 duel exhaust and it had the exact same smoke coming out of its exhaust.

Good to hear that your back on the road.

So you got a tune up right? Maybe it was that you were in need of and not an ECU?
