AEM EMS + walbro pump = high pitch whine

Any here running a AEM EMS and Walbro fuel pump?

After swapping over to the AEM, my pump sounds like it's running at 200% :uh: It is really LOUD!
sounds like the alternator whine in my speakers, but it's really the pump. I think the AEM is forcing the pump ecu to think it's under WOT conditions all the time, and running the pump at the max voltage,
is there an option in the AEM to turn down the pump?

My whinebro is also pretty loud running at 12v =/.

It can be annoying at first, but you'll be used to it. There are pumps much louder than the Walbro.

its normal for the walbro pumps to be loud.

Walbros are loud anyway, I got so used to hearing mine I don't hear it anymore lol.

I just thought it was odd that after the AEM the walbro went from loud to annoyingly loud

I'll prolly swap back to my DENSO TT unit

try aem with twin walbro pumps. that gets a bit annoying

LOL I listened to my buddy's triple walbro supra all the time when we put it together. Drove it many times too. Its not that bad.

like everyone else says. walbros are known to be loud and whiney

Buy some gas tank filler hose and cut two 1/2" pieces off. Isolate the pump from vibration when attaching it to the fuel pump hanger by wrapping it with the 1/2" fuel pump hose and securing it with worm gear clamps. The rubber hose is fuel proof and dampens the vibration nicely.

When running multiple pumps and the AEM, use the LS outputs to control a relay for the additional pumps. Program them to come on at 14 psi, for example. Not only does it cut down on the cabin noise, but it also limits the amount of fuel recirculated through the fuel system when not in boost.
