Default 1jz/2jz power steering question

I'm in the middle of my swap, and I realize that the 2j and 1j resivoirs mount up at different places...here's the probmem: my 1j didn't come with the resivoir, the lines are cut.

Has anyone had any luck using the 2j resivoir with the 1j and just relocating it or something? I think I might try this, just seeing if anyone else has done so.

You need to use the 1jz one with it because the 2jz one gets in the way of the throttle body. Mine came with one, so it was no problem, but if yours came with the pump, just cut lines and no res., you could probably find a res. in the classefeids. Or if you're really desperate, go to Toyota and order one from an MKIV supra. I think they're identical.

Yeah, I know why it doesn't work, but I was thinking maybe someone's mounted the 2J resivoir remotely or something maybe. If I have to buy a resivoir, I can, but I'm trying to get this done asap, lol, sick of not having a car.

the sc400 reservoir is what people usually use. I bought mine for 20 bucks, and it has a stock mounting location on the shock tower.

pm aliga, he probably has one.
