Default Is anyone running a 16lb radiator cap?

I just replaced my waterpump and all the hoses. I know the sc300 is a 13lb system but would like to run a 16lb rad cap (the na supra runs the 16lb cap).

My only concern is the radiator not being up to the task. So is anyone running a 16lb cap w/o issues. Has anyone had issues running a 16lb cap?

I have a Koyo radiator with a 1.3 bar cap (close to 19 psi) and have not run into any problems. Can't tell you how the 16 will work with the stock radiator, but I guarantee there are people running caps with higher capacity than that.

same here, im running a 19psi with a koyo on my supra so i know the engine can handle it. I really cant imagine the stock rad not being able to handle 16psi, but id rather be safe then sorry.

I noticed carson sells a toms rad cap for 19psi, i did a search and saw a thread with a few people running that. I dont think they would sell something that would cause a big issue like a radiator blowing up, but they are in business to make money, lol

Edit* drove to work this morning (30mi) with the 16psi cap on and so far no issues
