I have searched a bit but could not find the exact info about how much the A340E with the bell housing weighs, any ideas?

Also for those of you who have changed their transmission on the SC300 without a lift how long did it take you and how hard was it?

I'm going to be replacing my transmission very soon and I want to know what I'm in for..............the shops around here are asking anywhere from $600-$1000 just in labor to replace the tranny, that seems kind of crazy to me.
