Ugh, Another 1j question
I was recently reading peoples problems wit their 1jz swap, But most if not all seems to be from using a supra 1j or chaser engine. My question is Im getting a 1jz with everything from my boy that came out a soarer(ecu and all). Will it be a straight drop in with the ONLY thing me having to do is extend wiring? If not, exactly what else would I need for everything to be 100%. No airbag lights, oil light etc? Remember this is coming from a 1jz-gte soarer going into my sc300. the soarer motor set and my car is auto.

You will have to extend the harness. Its easy jsut take your time do 1 wire at a time. make sure you solder them. If you cant solder practice on some wire first. Its not hard either. You will have to do 3 things tho. Jumper a resistor on ur tach so it will work. run a ground for your temp and re route your check engine light wire. There is a thread on this that shows where they are and how to. Its realllllly easy to do as well. as for the Airbag light I hate to say it you will prolly have one less people have figured out how to get rid of it. I still have one. I pulled the bulb out. But that is me. I will put it back if I can find a fix tho. GL
