Default a/c low pressure side question

ok, my ac has been converted to 134a in 2005. a/c works to good at night and in the morning. however it barley keeps me cool in the heat of the day texas 97 degrees. i thought it needed a charge of freon but my low pressure side is showing 90 psi danger zone? what causes excessive pressure on the low pressure side?
